KYIV GOLF CENTER “A good walk ruined,” was how Mark Twain described the game, but those taking part in the Kyiv Golf Championship, staged by the Professional and Amateur Golf Federation of Ukraine, 28 July, would probably not agree with the sentiment. The championship was held to find out who are the country’s best golfers in three categories – men, women and under 16s. It was a classic golf tournament adopting the rules of the home of golf, The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, Scotland where the most frustrating game in the world has been played for centuries.
